Ok If you have ever eaten at Pei Wei or PF Changs you know that they have the best napkins in the world!!! Thier napkins are more like a dish towel. They are huge, thick and sturdy. So we went to Pei Wei to eat about 3 weeks ago, and like usual I grabbed a big stack of napkins for the table, to clean up any spills or messes the children might produce. Amazingly we had very little to clean up on this visit, so I tucked the two remaining oversized cloth like creations into my purse. Yes I have been carrying them around with me for the last 3 weeks. They took up an enormous amount of space in my purse but I just knew I would need them one day. That day finally came. Gordy, little Gordy and I were out shopping, and little Gordy was clearly showing indications that he needed to use the potty. We looked for the bathroom, but to no avail. So we hurried along to get to the car and drive him home, only a 5 minute drive. We made it all the way to the front of the store, when little Gordy stopped and froze, paralized by the production of an enormous yellow puddle. Gordy carried him dripping to the car, while I stayed and tried to find a store employee to help with the clean up. I could find no one. Then I remembered the oversized, super absorbant Pei Wei napkins in my purse. I pulled them out and gratefully soaked up the yellow puddle, and then continued on wiping up the trailing drips on my way out the door. Any way the picture above is the outfit little Gordy changed into after we got home from trashing the store. He dressed himself in no shirt, blue jersey shorts and Alexis' red cowboy boots, then came walking throught the house poppong a piece of bubble wrap. He looked so cute I had to get a picture and post it.Thursday, September 11, 2008

Don't you love these kind of moments? It's a good think we love our kids so much cause they can be pretty gross. :)
I will have to check out Pei Wei and their amazing napkins. I have a similar appreciation for McDonald's straws. They're awesome!! (not that they would have come in handy in this situation... YUCK)
What a funny story! On the bright side it sounds like he's just about completely potty trained. You'll have to start taking a few extra napkins every time you go to Pei Wei from now on. You never know when you'll need them.
